Writing copy for an about page can feel a little awkward especially if you happen to be writing about yourself.  It can feel like bragging but remember most people are reading your about page to learn about you. They want to know who you are, if you can be trusted to do what you claim, and if they can connect with your brand on any level.

We have all experienced the stress of applying to an internship. Not long ago, I was in the same position you are trying to land the perfect internship to lead to the perfect job.For some of you this is your first step into the so-called “real world” and that can be intimidating. Trust me, you are not alone.  You are told over and over again that in order to get a job you need experience and that is most certainly true but has someone told you how to get the perfect internship?  Now that I am on the other side of things I want to offer some advice and tips for applying and interviewing for an internship program.

Writing your elevator pitch can be intimidating. Trying to cram everything about your brand, what you do, why you do it, and how it can help people into 30 seconds is daunting. Don’t worry, it’s completely possible.

The basic structure is pretty easy to hammer out. Many people find it helpful to create an outline before they try and fully write out the elevator pitch. Keep the structure simple: explanation, value, and close with the “ask.”

If you can’t effectively explain your business...a business in which YOU yourself immerse in everyday, in a few simple words then how are your customers going to understand it? If customers don't understand your business then they sure as hell don't understand the need for your service or product.

With a growing business there are pains, and sometimes things happen that are beyond our control.

Our Sydney office experiences an exponential inflow of leads every single day. We are completely miffed as to why we receive so many Sydney based leads from our social media and website, and as such, we need to employ more people.

In the recruitment process, we have received a lot of applicants, though honestly, we should have gone back to the original applications we received 6 months ago, who may not have re-applied this time around. With the quality of applicants in June last year was much higher than the quality we are receiving today.

According to Business Insider, the average full-time employee in America works about 1,700 hours per year.

If you don’t like the people that you work with, 1,700 hours is a lot of time to be stuck around them. That is why the work family is an important, but majorly overlooked, aspect of employment.

Like a real family, you don’t get to choose your work family, but making the best of who you have around will make your days a breeze.
