There are so many ways in impress a new recruit when you are on boarding them in your business, but if you thought you had just got a handle on it, then you might want to read a little further.

22 percent of new recruits leave within 45 days of starting, with a staggering 16 percent that leave within the first week. They leave because their expectations (or yours) has not been met. There were lies told in the job interview by either party or the on-boarding process was nothing short of terrible. The reality is we all can do better - and will, if we keep up to date with the rest of the market.

We all know the cost of recruiting new people to the fold, and how expensive it is to lose a good employee, so if we find someone that is a good fit, make sure they know it from every experience they have with your firm.

10 standout websites for marketers

If truth be told, there is no such thing as a 'best' blog or website, because it all depends on the visitor. If the website doesn't appeal to the person visiting the site, then it is useless. Everyone has their own opinions of 'good' and 'bad'.

I am utterly and completely in love with the business right now, I can't belive it has already been 10 years since Marketing Eye first opened its doors.

What keeps you in the game is the ability to constantly change and perhaps, rev it up a bit.

In the past 3 years, we have been focused on change, innovation and revving it up like no tomorrow. Be careful what you wish for because we have also had to put the brakes on a few times and that has had some very interesting outcomes.

Why you should outsource your marketing team

As the world continues to change dramatically, marketing is a career that is becoming increasingly difficult to keep on top of.

As a company, we are invested in training and developing our people to ensure that they don't lag behind with a majority of marketers today. This is further endorsed by the fact that in comparison to the US, the update of marketing automation in Australia has been dissimal. It's darn-right embarrassing that marketers or whoever is holding the budget have not yet adopted marketing automation as a way in which to feed the sales funnel and give sales people hot leads rather than cold ones.

Outsourcing your marketing has advantages and disadvanges.

The reality of international export

I export marketing services. I started a few years back when I decided to expand Marketing Eye into new markets. The most suitable market after much research was America, so I did what any buddying entrepreneur would do and I completed a market research study to make sure that if I started a business there, it was not set up to fail.

Why you should reimagine your business

For years, Marketing Eye stayed with the same brand messages and continued to push through to the market key points that we believed were different to what everybody else was saying and doing.

The problem is that when you are online everyone can see for themselves what you are saying and doing, and for competitors to copy, it really is quite simple.

There is so much to love about being headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.

The peaches, the honey, the friendliness, the cost of living and the people. Not so much the Grits but I think that's an acquired taste a bit like vegemite.

With so many Fortune 500 companies headquartered here; The Home Depot, UPS, The Coca-Cola Company, Delta Airlines, Aflac, The Southern Company, Genuine Parts Company, First Delta Corporation, AGCO, Rock Ten Company, Sun Trust Banks, HD Supply Holdings and I could really go on and on - but I think you get the picture.

Wow! I mean wow! I just arrived in the office in Atlanta and I am completely and utterly amazed at the talent and sheer determination of our Marketing Eye team in Atlanta.

They are not only the best looking team in all of Atlanta, they are also the smarter and most competent.

Who would have thought that they could put together a team like this all by themselves and start running the business like I always dreamed it would be run.

Never give away everything

Please keep your pants on, and never give away everything, it's as simple as that.

Too many entrepreneurs get so desperate that they give away the kitchen sink when in fact all their prospect wanted to know was that they could do a good job.

As an entrepreneur, it's hard to start a business and to keep it going year-after-year profitability creating value and jobs. But many do so very successful, and yet those who fail seem to do so falling often on their own sword.
