Content = Leads = $$ = Recommendations = $$$$
Seems simple enough, right?
Then how are so many businesses getting it wrong?
Below are a few simple steps you can use to generate leads on social media.
This one seems obvious, but you wouldn’t believe how many businesses fail at this simple yet crucial step. You’ve got to put out content. Here at Marketing Eye Atlanta, we stress the importance of both maintaining active social media accounts, and regularly updating your website content. Why is this important? Well, the more you post on your social media accounts, the more likely you are to appear in a prospect’s timeline. Also, when you update your website with new content, you increase your site’s Search Engine Optimization (SEO). This way, when leads are searching for a service that your business provides, you’ll be one of the first businesses they see.
Prospects want to know who you’ve worked with, they want to see how much experience you have, and most importantly, they want to make sure you know what you’re doing. In order for your prospects to find this information easily, you’ve got to brag. Be proud of the work you have done, post about it. Share a photo of the work you’ve done, write a blog about it, or post a client testimonial. If you’ve worked with someone that’s well known in their industry, ask them if you can post about working with them.
Why? Reassurance. Posting about jobs and clients may answer some of the questions that prospective clients have about your firm’s capabilities.
It’s not enough to exist in the social stratosphere, you need to make sure your business is interacting with current users. For example, let’s say your company sells hair styling products. You can encourage users to post a picture, detail which of your products they used, tag your company in the photo, and then you repost their picture from your account. The more you interact, the more followers you get. The more followers you have, the more likely you are to generate leads.
Because of social media, establishing connections is easier than ever. When users caption their posts with hashtags, it gives you the opportunity to zero in on a group of prospects so you can follow their pages, like, and comment on their posts. Here at Marketing Eye Atlanta, our team of social media experts work to build and maintain strong social media connections between you and your prospects.
