About 4 years ago, Marketing Eye was engaged by Gold Coast Accounting firm Saber Accountants, to develop a new logo identity and branding as well as marketing material and a website. 
Opened today’s Sunday papers and I was pleasantly surprised to see Marketing Eye’s ‘product placement’ in the latest Leonardo DiCaprio movie Inception being reported. 
When my neighbour came to me and asked if I could develop a website for her new business, I was thrilled. Here we have a woman in her 50’s ready to give up a corporate career to help others like herself manage their wealth better. Well, not exactly help them, but provide them with valuable resources that assist in making better informed decisions. 
This is a man who knows his stuff. He is a very experienced stock analyst with more than 20 years working in this area for some of the world’s most prestigious financial institutions. On top of that, he is the author and analyst behind the highly respected Stockradar Report that provides daily tips and weekly updates on buying and selling shares. 
Ever wondered how some people get a story in the paper, whilst others do not even though they may be more successful, make more money, have more prestigious clients and have a better name? Public relations is just what is says. It is free publicity about you and/or your company. Some call it simply ‘human relations’. 
This is a picture of a new entrepreneur who in her 50’s is starting a new online business. With a love of trading shares and years of experiences in making money on the market and of course, loosing it, she will launch this week www.learnhowtotradeshares.com.au. It has been crazy here at Marketing Eye – ever since Leonardo DiCaprio disguised himself in the movie as someone an Australian businessman knew and said he was from Marketing Eye.
Every day is a learning curve. Whether its on the job, our relationships with people or general life experiences – we all learn and if we don’t then we take a backward step.
Today was an extraordinary day and for me, not in a good way.
My most favourite holiday destination in Australia is Byron Bay. It has everything you could hope for if you enjoy relaxing, the beaches and being at ‘one’ with yourself.
