Marketing Eye

Picture1 As a platform that was once used for sharing photographs with friends and family, the development of new technology globally has seen Instagram develop various new features throughout thelast few years. As the emergence of content marketing dramatically increased in the early 2010s, how we shared and produced content for social media similarly changed. As a platform whose original purpose was to enable us to share photos with those closest to us, how we use Instagram today is completely different. As an influx of businesses trying to find a new way to personally connect with their customers, Instagram created a feature that enabled users to purchase products without leaving the walls of the app, access we did not have just a few years ago.

With the establishment of the shopping feature in 2017, companies that were once sharing their products online—through content marketing—were instead able to sell their products through the Instagram shop. By posting images of their products and being able to tag up to five products on a single image or video post, customers now have instantaneous access to items, brands and products without having to access the brand's website. As research was developed after the shopping feature was first introduced, Instagram found that 80% of people followed a business account in a global community of over 600M.

Inoko - Consumer Products | Interior Design

Inoko is a consumer goods and interior design company that brings you hand-poured soy candles in an array of luxury fragrances. Held in stunning marble, timber or concrete vessels, Inoko candle refills are designed to be replaced at the end of the candle’s life. This ensures that your timelessly beautiful candle vessel will last you a lifetime. Marketing Eye used their expertise to help develop a marketing strategy that matched Inoko’s essence by developing a tailor-made digital campaign through a website redevelopment and social media presence. The strategy also included print production of information leaflets, product guides for consumers, photoshoots to update product portfolio, and an overhaul on the Inoko branding.

When approached by Inoko, we had to develop their brand from the beginning. This began with designing a website and digital assets that matched the designs of the candles. Using a similar color and texture that epitomized their products and brand story we wanted to create a platform that would be synonymous with their brand.

Starting afresh

home-page-XL-300x264When my neighbour came to me and asked if I could develop a website for her new business, I was thrilled. Here we have a woman in her 50’s ready to give up a corporate career to help others like herself manage their wealth better. Well, not exactly help them, but provide them with valuable resources that assist in making better informed decisions.
