What your business card SHOULD look like
Why do 99% of the business cards I receive still not have any links to social media?
Business to business marketers are still falling short of connecting with their clients and prospects at every opportunity and it seems completely ridiculous that they still don't have links to LinkedIn, Twitter, Blogs and Facebook, displayed on their business cards for everyone to see and connect with.

As an international business, Marketing Eye even has Skype addresses on our business cards. It really is a no-brainer.
"We don't want to over-clutter our business card," I have been told by one small business owner.
"Really?" is the only reply I am muster up when someone says this.
"Then delete your address. Who cares where you are located these days. People are more interested in how they can contact and connect with you, not where your office may be or your postal address. Leave that for your website."

10 Apr 2013I agree with this post, but only if the social media platforms listed in the business cards are truly used and still active. We often see businesses trying to get on every social media platform for the sake of it without any commitment at all! But great post! And I think this can apply to individuals or any professionals' personal cards as well!

25 Feb 2013Great post. I agree that it is imperative that businesses of any size should be updating their business cards to include social media links. With the stark usage increase in smart phones and other similar mobile devices, clients want to know about their prospective business partners from the get- go. Another area with much potential is the employment of QR codes. Virtually all smartphones have access to this program. Clients can simply scan the matrix barcode any time from wherever they are, leading them to the brand's website. In order to increase brand awareness, businesses need to focus on increasing their brand's accessibility.
