Flight MH17 – All lines have been crossed in this crime against humanity

Ukrainian Prime Minister, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, says security forces will create a corridor so that “Ukrainian experts and international experts will be allowed to hold a vast international investigation.”

“This is a crime against humanity. All red lines have been crossed.”

AIDS researchers were amongst the dead, with no survivors on the Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 that crashed while they were enroute to an Australian AIDS conference to be held in Melbourne.

The Netherlands more than a week ago came third in the World Cup in Brazil. They had once again shown their sporting prowess to the world, even though they are such a small country. Today, we mourn 173 Dutch people who died with no pre-warning, in a plane that was shot down by a ground-to-air missile near the village of Grabovo, in an area controlled by pro-Russian separatists.

A plane, carrying 298 people from at least 10 countries, 28 of whom come from Australia – where I am from.

I hope when the truth is told, that it is not sugar-coated, nor a public relations exercise, but the facts so that we all can work together to ensure that this does not happen again.

What do you think we should be doing to do more?
