A knock on the door, saw an entrepreneur of the future make her first sale
I wasn’t such a good entrepreneur as a child and the best I could come up with was busking at my parents bedroom door whereby they would pay me a couple of dollars to go away.
Tonight, my neighbours daughter Angelina came over with her friend Alex and asked to play with my dog Pip.
After playing for a little while, throwing toys all over my apartment, she started to chat about how she asked her mother if she could put a flyer in everyone’s letterbox to ask if they needed help ironing. Her mother said it was a good idea because she could meet new people and help them.
I suggested that instead of doing that, why don’t you walk my dog for an hour two days a week after school and I will pay you.
She asked her Mum who said yes, so now I have a dog walker and she has her first job. Great outcome.
She says, ” I just want to meet new people and help them.” How cute!
