What Is a Marketing Strategy and Why Is it important?

Firstly, a marketing strategy refers to the goals the company needs to achieve through its marketing efforts. Specifically, the strategic stage of your campaign involves your marketing team deciding what your overall business purpose is; why you are running this campaign. Elements of a marketing strategy include ‘what offering you will deliver, who you will deliver it to, how you will deliver it and who your competitors are’. Fully understanding and reminding your marketing team what your strategy entails is an essential element to running a successful marketing campaign.

Now that we have outlined why it is essential that your marketing team perfects your strategy, why is 2022 the best year to perform this? 2022 has been deemed the ‘new world’ ensuing from the global pandemic. Covid-19 has irrevocably altered the marketing and business sector, and the values your company should present to customers.  Lockdown and isolation caused ‘emotions to run high’ which in turn placed an importance on personal interactions with brands.  During a time of such uncertainty, the humanization of brands was comforting to consumers.

As I sit typing on my keypad, I am thinking about whether or not it is at all possible to 'have it all'.

When I look out at some of my friends, no matter how successful they are, they still have things in their lives that they want to improve or put more effort into. Relationships usually being the staple amongst those who realize that no amount of business success will ever supercede what you can achieve personally.

I have had an amazing month in so many ways and personally, I have grown more than I could ever imagine.

I won't deny that I want it all, but I have become more realistic in realizing that that is not possible. You can't have it all - at the same time. It's impossible and those who say that you can, are either living a short-lived fantasy or are hiding what is really going on behind closed doors.

Business has always been a challenge for me. I am not a natural people person and stress overtakes me more times than I care to admit. I worry about and analyze things that don't deserve the effort that I put into it.

I procrastinate, often leave great ideas unfulfilled and sometimes need to have a better poker face.

Why some people don't get relationships

If you are being ambushed by someone you have just met, and it has you thinking twice about doing business with them, then you are not alone.

It's like relationships in life. My friend was sharing a story today on how she met this guy for 10 minutes at a business function and within minutes he has invited to stay at his home at the snow and then followed up with text messages - none of which have been replied to. Really? Do people really think that someone would go and stay at their place with them after 10 minutes? My friend and I laughed and we immediately related it back to business.

John Gray has written quite a few books on relationships and millions of women around the world have read them avidly. No wonder women tend to be better leaders statistically when they actually reach the top jobs, then their male counterparts.

Gray has a book, Mars and Venus on a Date which basically is a guide to navigating the 5 stages of dating to create lasting relationships.

If you bare with me, you will see how this can relate to relationships with employees that are looking for the perfect job. Particularly essential reading for small business owners.
About 10 years ago, I was in New York for a holiday and by chance, I happened to be in town when there was an entrepreneurs event with Jack Welch.

I sat down with my friends who were also in business and watched Jack Welch talk about his story of how he changed GE and his philosophies on business.
