What If Your Database Is Bad?

It would seem that the effectiveness of marketing campaigns are heavily tied to the quality of your database. So what happens if you find out your database really isn’t good? Well, the first step is accepting the truth that maybe your database which you spent so much money and effort on isn’t great. What You Need to Know About Marketing on LinkedIn

LinkedIn has about half a billion users worldwide and the chances that your next client are scrolling through their feed right now is likely. The largest B2B social platform in the world has came out with more feature updates in the first half of 2017 than the entirety of 2016.

The point: LinkedIn is catching on like wildfire! (not a Game of Thrones reference either!)

3 Ways Content Distribution Can Propel Your Brand

Content is King. But Distribution is Queen... And she wears the pants!

It can be extremely frustrating to put in the hours that it takes to create amazing content and never see any results. I can remember when I first started blogging more than 8 years ago and see 2 people actually read it. Typically, those two people were my parents... thanks mom!

Why every marketing team needs a data scientist

Speaking to a Professor at one of America's largest Universities the other day in Atlanta, was an eye-sight into how slow many universities are moving in creating educational programs for marketers to have jobs in the future.

This particular University, isn't sitting by the side-line. In fact, they are leading the way and have added Data Science to the program, and are ensuring that each and every person who does a marketing degree has an opportunity to learn about data science and all that it encompasses.

The cut-throat world of marketing performance

Ultimately companies are looking for two things; increase their brand awareness and more sales. The role that marketing plays in this is pivotal, and as we move closer to understanding marketing analytics across the entire spectrum of marketing, we are realizing that marketing performance is not only getting more cut-throat, and precise, with amateur or lazy marketers being caught out - but it is also getting more 'real'.

I'm feeling nostalgic about Atlanta

Waking up today, I have to say, I am feeling quite nostalgic about Atlanta and all it means to me over the past 5 years.

I came here with little or no expectations, just a desire to try something new. From there, and the people I met, something ticked. For many Atlanta appears from the outset to be quite sleepy, but once you cut through the leafy streets, and the urban sprawl, there is so much more depth.

The sales hangover - do you have one?

What a huge week it's been in client acquisition. We are not sure whether summer is officially over and everyone is ready to capitalise on their businesses opportunities that lay in front of them for the rest of the year, or they simply know they need marketing, and are calling the first company that comes up on Google.

The Great American Eclipse

It’s amazing what a scientific anomaly can do to our culture and our businesses. It was a pleasant surprise to pull up my social media profiles and not see endless Trump posts, for or against.  Everyone around the U.S. dropped everything and acknowledged an event much larger than a personal opinion or celebrity story. So just how big of an effect did the eclipse have on the US?
