Why is every high in life followed by a low? And every low, well, followed by another low.

Is the universe only meant to test us or is our journey paved out in stone long before we actually embark on it?

These are questions that I have asked myself in the past few hours, and while I don't have an answer, I know that there is only one way to think.

We all procrastinate at one point or another. Hell, I just procrastinated as to whether I would write this blog or not. Obviously, I decided it was better to do it now then later, and moved on, but procrastination can become a problem if you are actually a true "Procrastinator". 

Nearing another birthday, I am reflecting on how my journey has evolved over time. It certainly has been interesting to say the least, and one that I would not change a single bit.

Like most people, I have had my good times and bad. There are experiences that I would rather not have had, and others I wish I could have over and over again.

2018 is the year of positivity for me. I have consistently looked at every situation in a 'glass half full' way, and am navigating my way through the year with the energy and respect that each year deserves.

In your 40’s, and you haven’t made your mark yet?

When you are looking forward to the next year like I am, you can't help but think what is it that is going to make the next 12 months of your life more extraordinary and memorable then the last.

With so many things going on in the world; political elections, earthquakes, terrorist attacks - it's quite easy to get caught up in what is going wrong with the world instead of what is going right.


For me, my glass nearly hitting the brim at the top, I am excited about the prospect of having a year that is full of surprises and wonderful, engaging conversations with people from all walks of life.

When it comes to working, so many people are stuck doing a job they don’t even enjoy. It’s hard when you are in college and all of a sudden have to decide what you want to do for the rest of your life. You think about money first, then maybe what you were good at in high school (math, science, writing, etc.), and that’s about all you have to go off of.

People often ask me how do I do it. I travel continuously and I have done this for many years, and I do it without blinking an eye lid. Booking my next flight is just part of the parcel of having a job that takes me across three continents.

I had a dream to see the world... and I did it. In fact, I am still doing it. 

I also had a dream to own my own marketing firm. Did that too. And still doing it.

We all have choices, and we all have dreams, but few of us actually live the life we dream of living. What holds us back, is ourselves and our own determination to fulfil our own dreams, and not that of others.

I've had a few sleepless nights and I am not quite sure why. I don't have any real worries and life is treating me very well of late. They say if you rid yourself of negativity or people that don't fit your core values whether they are someone you are in a relationship with, friends with, or associates - life becomes a lot more authentic and clean.
