Everyone wants to work under trustworthy leadership, but it can be hard to know exactly what that looks like. More often than not, it comes down to communication. Communication is an essential tool for a good leader. Whether they are communicating business successes or failures, the information must be shared in an open and safe environment for your employees to ask as many questions as they need. This is what trust looks like, and we all know that trust can’t be bought. Below, we have a few great ways to build trust with effective leadership communications.

14 Podcasts To Listen to Every Week

Can you believe that we are halfway through 2017 already? Being in sales, I understand August can be a slower month. But I’m a glass half full kind of guy. So I think this month should be used to catch up on some things you’ve been pushing off for the last half of the year. Living in Atlanta definitely has its perks. But, one thing everyone is familiar with is the traffic. So instead of watching the guy in front of me pick his nose all the way from Peachtree to Lenox, I’m going to be learning about history, business, and geeking out on the best podcasts that are out now.

When people ask what my management style is, I often find this a hard question to answer. I am almost never "there" and we have had in place until two years ago a CEO, so there was never a reason for me to be actively involved in day-to-day management or leadership. In the past two years, we have focused on a flat management style where no-one really has a boss but they have a "coach" or person to go to with a title of State Manager whenever they feel the need to for normal administrative purposes or if they feel they are looking for leadership.

The only thing more powerful than a big idea is the team that can see it through.

Many of us have big, huge, gigantic ideas - but how many of these ideas actually see light of day. Statistics show that not many do.

If you are anything like me, you live and breathe ideas and the very essence of your being is celebrating the fact that you are an "ideas person". But an idea is just that unless you do something about it.

Marketing Eye's journey over the past few years has hit some major milestones as the business heads into a future rich with possibility.

Despite our  rough expansion into the US; we set up ‘part-time’ and employed a few people who were left to their own devices, the road has cleared and we are looking forward with enthusiasm.

Although I am very young, that in no way represents limited capabilities. Sure, with age comes responsibility, experience and wisdom, but for me drive and ambition are inherent. And this is true of many other millennials I know.

I am not saying that Gen Y make better employees or leaders, all I’m saying is that they should not be disregarded when their date of birth is revealed. It is cliché to say ‘age is just a number’ but in many cases, this stands true.

It's Sunday and I have been madly working away since 6am. That I suppose is the life of an entrepreneur.

Of late, it's been crazy. My 'to do list' seems endless and there really isn't enough hours in the day. On top of that, I only recently realized that I am not utilizing my time effectively enough and need to make some changes - except I feel like I need to catch up before making changes. It is 'the chicken and the egg' scenario all over again.

People can look at Sundays in a number of ways; For me, I look at the day as the first day of the week, as in Australia it is a Monday. I am of course sitting in my hotel room in Atlanta.
