Marketing Eye

Ontime Healthcare is a nursing agency in Victoria, providing nurse and home health care professionals to hospitals, aged care, correctional facilities, community and home services. Ontime Healthcare prides itself on training each client as an individual and creating tailor-made plans to meet the needs of the client with a nurse who can provide those solutions. Ontime Healthcare needed a marketing strategy consulting firm to increase brand awareness and improve the customer journey. After developing a customized marketing strategy, Marketing Eye developed several specific marketing projects for Ontime Healthcare, including a website refresh, marketing collateral pieces, digital marketing tactics through social media, and content marketing in the form of company blogs and social content calendars.

As part of the custom-made marketing strategy, Marketing Eye has developed, designed, and executed monthly EDMs, targeted to various databases. In order to build brand awareness, Marketing Eye updated and redesigned the website to improve the customer's journey and ease the signup process.

Technology by itself is not a disruptor. It's not being customer-centric that threatens businesses, and that will never change.

How Present Are You?

Having the ability to communicate succinctly is crucial in all areas of life, and if a message can be said in one sentence rather than a paragraph, why not choose the former?

In reality, it is easier said than done. Maintaining professional communication requires constant practice and puts oneself in uncomfortable situation, just like everything else. One of the great ways to hone this skill is to avoid the usage of filler words, such as “uh”, “um”, and “like.” We all do it, yet it takes conscious efforts to exercise professionalism. Let’s take a closer look:

It’s time to break your business out of the Stone Age! Without a proper marketing and communications strategy your business will not accomplish exponential growth. Think to yourself, is it okay to start a business without a business model/strategy? No.

So why are you still marketing without a marketing and communications strategy? It’s a waste of time and money and time is money so basically you just wasted a ton of money due to your lack of marketing efforts.

Good For The Environment, Good For You

When considering opening a business, most people think about profits. However in today’s world, more and more business owners are considering what they can do to go green!

Green business is defined as an enterprise that has minimal negative impact on the global environment, community, society, or economy. Often times these businesses have progressive environmental and human rights policies.

In the past week, we have been organising media interviews for a financial services firm. Our inhouse PR expert is very talented and well-connected, and has organised more than 13 interviews for an international money markets expert. The thing is, this was done, all without using their media kit. Why? Because it is a bit out of date and doesn't represent the company and how forward thinking the company really is.

This got me thinking. What should go in a press kit (or media kit) in 2012? Are local companies in Atlanta and Georgia for that matter, ensuring that their media kits are up to date? Do they really know how to make a media kit stand out from the crowd? Is there someone in Atlanta helping them with their media kits?

Here are some things you should be considering;

Out with the old, in with the new

build-it-and-they-will-come-smallIt takes a brave person, to throw something away and replace it with something new. Look at your cupboards at home. When was the last time you threw out your favourite jumper, even though it has holes in it?

Sometimes a website can be a bit like that. You get used to seeing it. It brings you in a number of inquiries. Search engine optimisation looks pretty good compared to most of your competitors. So, what makes you throw it all away?
