This week's publicity stunt by Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon is nothing short of an award winning, revenue generating, share price drive guaranteed to ensure that less educated people who cannot see through this manipulative PR stunt, go out and either buy shares or purchase on Amazon ultimately making Jeff Bezos richer.

We live in a world where many people are quick to jump to conclusions and ascertain their own opinions. This has led to a rather volatile and uninformed movement by the younger generation. Being a millennial myself, I want to examine why this shift is taking place and how we can turn this ship around.

Not because you dress particularly strangely, nor due to the fact that they eat a whole different menu than what you are use to (think peanut butter and jelly sandwiches - ughhh!), but because your accent and basic language is lost in translation and you are not sure whether to keep quiet to avoid embarrassment or to power through in hope of perhaps teaching your friends a thing or two about being Australian or English or whatever you may be.

I Love America

Having travelled many times to the United States over the years for both business and pleasure, I have to say, that I have fallen in love with it all over again.

My recent travels were meant to be educational, and they were, but they also ensured that I revisited my old stomping grounds, reunited with friends that I hadn't seen in years and had new and exciting experiences that I will never forget.

It does help that the first time I went to the United States the dollar was 57c to every AU$1 dollar. Not ideal. Today, it sits nicely at $1.08 which pleases me no end and has definately aided in bringing back the passion I have for travelling to their great country.
