Marketing Eye

Once I started accepting that I was in fact an entrepreneur, I started living it. Not quite like those who don't really have a job and say they are entrepreneurs to sound "cool" or so that one would think that they at the very least had some purpose - but more like the type that wakes up every morning and races to the office.

As digital marketing continues to grow, we've seen far too much politics in the marketing landscape.

Big names in advertising agencies are proclaiming that digital marketers don't know what they're doing. Digital agencies and platforms are claiming that advertising and PR are dead.

These headlines keep popping up and frankly, they're unhelpful for businesses trying to improve their marketing. The reality is that digital and traditional need to work together to enhance today's marketing methods.

Before it gets too hot outside I have to share a tradition we have at Marketing Eye Atlanta- FLANNEL FRIDAY!!

All work and no play makes life barely bearable. In this office we truly live the expression “work hard, play hard.” When you have this many creative people in one room self expression is inevitable.

The Top Gets Lonely

We all aspire to achieve great things and to have a beautiful line up of accomplishments for our parents to boast about at dinner with their friends. Financial stability and a luxurious lifestyle is always a plus and often the incentive that pushes us past the stress, sweat and tears. The journey to success isn’t an easy one, and it’s even harder climbing that mountain solo.

Not Everyone Wants What You Want

I have just spent over a week in regional and rural North Queensland. In the past few years, I have travelled north for a couple of reasons, but namely for work and for a charity I set up in the rural township of Charters Towers.

It's been humbling and a great reminder of what is important in life.

More than money can buy

This quarter can make or break your business - so what are you going to do about it?

People are pausing and what that means to business is that we are all in a position where we need to "change" what we are doing, and make sure we are listening very clearly to what our clients and prospects are saying.

If you have been around in business for a long time, you would have seen some peaks and troughs. Many of which have seen you and your team challenged, sometimes to the point where restructure has been needed.
On March 15th 2016, Instagram, the fastest growing social media network, announced their latest update: an algorithm-based, personalized newsfeed. This means that photos and videos will no longer appear in chronological order, rather, appear based on the likelihood you’ll be interested in the content, your relationship with the person posting and the timeliness of the post.

Data has played a vital role in turning marketing from an art into a science and now there’s more than ever. It can be difficult to know what statistics you should be paying attention to and how to use them. So how do you know your website is performing? What can you do to improve it? Here is Marketing Eye’s quick guide to Google Analytics statistics and how to use them to improve your online marketing.

The most important thing you need to understand about Google Analytics Stats is that no singular statistic will tell you everything. The key to making informed decisions is looking at several statistics to form a more complete picture of your online marketing, and compare this to your strategy to see if you are on the right path. If you’re getting all your traffic from Twitter, but no one is buying your products, maybe you need to rethink your social media strategy.

How To Stay Motivated All Day Long

At 6:05 AM, when that dreaded alarm clock goes off, all you really want to do is stay in bed. Nevertheless, you begrudgingly peel off the sheets and carry on with your day only to overeat at lunchtime and feel your energy levels plummet even more. By 3:24pm you are completely ready to give up on all of your dreams for a 30 minute nap, every, single, day.

My friend, it is time to break out of this cycle. You are merely a mortal, so tiredness is inevitable, but don't succumb to the monotony of routine. Motivation is the best defense against lethargy.

So let’s explore how to stay motivated all day long!

Expanding to the United States was singularly the bravest thing I ever did, and it has set me up for profitability in the company in US dollars while the Australian dollar remains weak. Our offices make money and it has been an absolutely amazing journey. I have met some phenomenal people, all of whom have added to my life.

It also lead to a bit of "excitement" in my life. I was at a stage where I needed something to lift my game and expanding into the US market did exactly that.

April Fools- Happy Pranking!

Today is April 1st. Everyone knows that means it’s April Fools’ Day or All Fools’ Day. This is a day to “duck and cover” if you work or live with pranksters.

April Fools’ has been a tradition for centuries, possibly dating back to France in 1582. People didn't want to start the new year on January 1st and continued to celebrate it at the end of March/beginning of April. These people became the butt of jokes and hoaxes.
