Marketing Eye

Our extraordinary client Fabricare Center is Marketing Eye's featured guest blog of the week. The exceptional Dry Cleaner is opening their second location in the Sandy Springs area at the end of March. Check them out if you live in Atlanta, they offer free pickup and delivery.

Improving the quality and care of your garments has and will always their top priority. Not only have they been focused on expansion and having a wider reach within the community, but they have recently undergone a branding refresh. After 40 years of service it was time for a new look and feel. Yes, their is new branding and a new location, but the same great service still exists.

There Is Always Room For Improvement

An intelligent person knows that they aren’t perfect and that they always have room for improvement. They listen, rather than just talk. They engage with others more frequently, and they often engage with the philosophy that there is always more they can learn. If it's sport, they know that practice and discipline is essential.

The question I ask is; "Are you as good as you think you are?"

How To Create An About Page That Stands Out

Writing copy for an about page can feel a little awkward especially if you happen to be writing about yourself.  It can feel like bragging but remember most people are reading your about page to learn about you. They want to know who you are, if you can be trusted to do what you claim, and if they can connect with your brand on any level.

Want To Gain a New Perspective on Marketing?

Working in marketing requires you to be on your toes and knowledgeable about different subjects and ideas. Dr. Seuss once wrote, “The more that you read, the more things you will know.” Reading a book allows you to get a crash course in almost any subject without stepping foot into a classroom.

We love reading here at Marketing Eye, so we put together five books that would help any professional gain some new ideas and perspective.

What to do BEFORE you interview

Receiving a call for an interview often triggers such mixed emotions. You are bubbling with excitement because you have an interview! Simultaneously however, you are overflowing with nerves because, oh dear, you have an interview. The best way to enhance your performance in an interview is being prepared before you even walk in the door.

The Mind of An Entrepreneur

Marketing Eye speaks to hundreds of entrepreneurs seeking to grow their businesses every year. Some entrepreneurs are able to achieve growth successfully, and this is because they have a business plan, goals, and a marketing strategy in place. Even though the people we speak with have good intentions, they seem to rely more on luck than a strategic approach.

Then of course, there are the dreamers who do nothing more than talk about their aspirations and never act on their aspirations. Being an entrepreneur takes a lot of fixed determination, bravery, and thick skin. There are a lot of people that want to see you fail and think that you can do it. Prove them wrong! For an entrepreneur, that's all part of the parcel, and what motivates us to actually deliver upon what may have first started out as just a good idea.

Below are a few things that motivate entrepreneurs to start their own business.

How To Write An Effective Elevator Pitch

Writing your elevator pitch can be intimidating. Trying to cram everything about your brand, what you do, why you do it, and how it can help people into 30 seconds is daunting. Don’t worry, it’s completely possible.

The basic structure is pretty easy to hammer out. Many people find it helpful to create an outline before they try and fully write out the elevator pitch. Keep the structure simple: explanation, value, and close with the “ask.”

Yesterday I was bursting at the seams. Life couldn't get much better. I had a few meetings and they went so well, that I literally couldn't stop smiling and that feeling deep inside was one that I haven't felt in a long time.

Can You Explain Your Business To A 6 Year Old?

Albert Einstein once said, “If you can’t explain it to a six year old, you don't understand it yourself.”

If you can’t effectively explain your business...a business in which YOU yourself immerse in everyday, in a few simple words then how are your customers going to understand it? If customers don't understand your business then they sure as hell don't understand the need for your service or product.

With a growing business there are pains, and sometimes things happen that are beyond our control.

Our Sydney office experiences an exponential inflow of leads every single day. We are completely miffed as to why we receive so many Sydney based leads from our social media and website, and as such, we need to employ more people.

In the recruitment process, we have received a lot of applicants, though honestly, we should have gone back to the original applications we received 6 months ago, who may not have re-applied this time around. With the quality of applicants in June last year was much higher than the quality we are receiving today.

The Importance of a Work Family

According to Business Insider, the average full-time employee in America works about 1,700 hours per year.

If you don’t like the people that you work with, 1,700 hours is a lot of time to be stuck around them. That is why the work family is an important, but majorly overlooked, aspect of employment.

Like a real family, you don’t get to choose your work family, but making the best of who you have around will make your days a breeze.
