New York, New York... if only you didn't excite me so much! After 20 years or so traveling to New York often throughout the year, I am without a doubt the most excited person that has ever landed. I feel like a child in a candy store, except the store is seriously large and even if I stayed there a lifetime, I would never get to experience everything it has to offer.

I have spent my weekend looking at the big picture - Where is my business going? How are my team and I going to get it there? What is going to make the company more unique? How do we retain our talented team? What incentives do we need to have in place? All the normal questions really.

There are many reasons people do not reach their full potential. Some are due to circumstances that they feel they cannot get out of. Other reasons may be that they're over their head with commitments. Or perhaps it's them. They dream big but do nothing about it.

They are an affectionate bunch - by accident. It's not how they intended to be and it certainly is not politically correct to hug your colleagues particularly in this era of 'harassment' claims, but someone had to do it, and they did it right.

You may have read that robotic technology is making its way into the marketing industry, and it is. Within the next 2 years, Marketing as a profession will change so much that everyone will need to start from scratch. Unfortunately, the companies that are still selling the same old marketing skill set will be closing their doors.
