There Is Always Room For Improvement

An intelligent person knows that they aren’t perfect and that they always have room for improvement. They listen, rather than just talk. They engage with others more frequently, and they often engage with the philosophy that there is always more they can learn. If it's sport, they know that practice and discipline is essential.

The question I ask is; "Are you as good as you think you are?"

The Mind of An Entrepreneur

Marketing Eye speaks to hundreds of entrepreneurs seeking to grow their businesses every year. Some entrepreneurs are able to achieve growth successfully, and this is because they have a business plan, goals, and a marketing strategy in place. Even though the people we speak with have good intentions, they seem to rely more on luck than a strategic approach.

Then of course, there are the dreamers who do nothing more than talk about their aspirations and never act on their aspirations. Being an entrepreneur takes a lot of fixed determination, bravery, and thick skin. There are a lot of people that want to see you fail and think that you can do it. Prove them wrong! For an entrepreneur, that's all part of the parcel, and what motivates us to actually deliver upon what may have first started out as just a good idea.

Below are a few things that motivate entrepreneurs to start their own business.
With a growing business there are pains, and sometimes things happen that are beyond our control.

Our Sydney office experiences an exponential inflow of leads every single day. We are completely miffed as to why we receive so many Sydney based leads from our social media and website, and as such, we need to employ more people.

In the recruitment process, we have received a lot of applicants, though honestly, we should have gone back to the original applications we received 6 months ago, who may not have re-applied this time around. With the quality of applicants in June last year was much higher than the quality we are receiving today.
What a great start to the year! Our team that is totally pumped and excited about what the future holds for the company, and I have just come back from a few days looking into the operations of the Vanad Group in the Netherlands.

It's amazing what some companies can do in 10 short years, but more importantly, how they empower their people to produce outstanding results year-on-year, completely on-track to the company's overall mission.

You Can Definitely Plan For The Unknown

There are so many things that entrepreneurs do right, and often it is for the world to see. Yet there are still some things that we don't quite get right. 2016 is going to be a huge year. There is so much in store and while we all focus on business, the Government has a few headaches not just with stimulating economic growth, but ISIS and climate change.

The latter effects us all whether we like it or not, and also effects our businesses.

With that in mind, it is more important than ever before to put all the "right" things into play. They include:

Spend Your Energies Moving Forward

You Can't Start The Next Chapter of Your Life If You Keep Re-reading The Last One

It's come to that time of year again, and I am facing my biggest demons - expectations.
For anyone who knows me, they know that I always strive to do my best at no matter what I put my mind to. I rarely take on things where failure may be an option, but this year I have, and I am scared to death.

I've never thought much about getting married... until I met the owner of Elite Pour La Vie in Atlanta. She shared her vision with me on why she was building Atlanta's most exclusive wedding and evening gown dress boutique.

Elite Pour La Vie features many high-end fashion designers such as Baracci, Marchesa, Zuhair Murad, Charbel Zoe, Mac Duggal, and Johnathan Kayne.

Take Risks and Be Brave

As a professional services firm, we started the business hustling. Going to network events, speaking at every opportunity, and using our connections to bootstrap the growth of the company. We even used PR, which put me out of my comfort zone big time.

What High Performing Marketing Teams Do

A high performing marketing team differs from one industry to another and for that matter, one business to another. The basic fundamental of what defines the success of a high performing marketing team relates solely to the performance of the balance sheet, and marketing's ability to drive high quality leads to sales teams, and give those same teams all the tools in which they need to sell.
