Not Everyone Wants What You Want

I have just spent over a week in regional and rural North Queensland. In the past few years, I have travelled north for a couple of reasons, but namely for work and for a charity I set up in the rural township of Charters Towers.

It's been humbling and a great reminder of what is important in life.

More than money can buy

Marketing Eye is currently looking to expand its presence in New York, with new headquarters, new staff and the onboarding of 10 new licensees expected in the next 5 months. Who doesn't want to be part of New Yorks energy and the excitement of living in one of the best cities in the world? I do.

New York Is For Risk Takers, Creative Thinkers, Free-Spirited, Savvy Entrepreneurs Ready To Have A Go!

This quarter can make or break your business - so what are you going to do about it?

People are pausing and what that means to business is that we are all in a position where we need to "change" what we are doing, and make sure we are listening very clearly to what our clients and prospects are saying.

If you have been around in business for a long time, you would have seen some peaks and troughs. Many of which have seen you and your team challenged, sometimes to the point where restructure has been needed.
Data has played a vital role in turning marketing from an art into a science and now there’s more than ever. It can be difficult to know what statistics you should be paying attention to and how to use them. So how do you know your website is performing? What can you do to improve it? Here is Marketing Eye’s quick guide to Google Analytics statistics and how to use them to improve your online marketing.

The most important thing you need to understand about Google Analytics Stats is that no singular statistic will tell you everything. The key to making informed decisions is looking at several statistics to form a more complete picture of your online marketing, and compare this to your strategy to see if you are on the right path. If you’re getting all your traffic from Twitter, but no one is buying your products, maybe you need to rethink your social media strategy.
Expanding to the United States was singularly the bravest thing I ever did, and it has set me up for profitability in the company in US dollars while the Australian dollar remains weak. Our offices make money and it has been an absolutely amazing journey. I have met some phenomenal people, all of whom have added to my life.

It also lead to a bit of "excitement" in my life. I was at a stage where I needed something to lift my game and expanding into the US market did exactly that.

Marketing Eye's Expansion Plans Just Took On A New Course
There are many important factors to consider when expanding a business. Growing a business isn't easy and I can't pretend to have too much experience in scaling up. I am still in the early stages of doing this with Marketing Eye, and there have been some challenges, but largely it's all about hard work, determination, and motivation to finish a job that you started.

Here is what you should know when expanding your business:
Hey entrepreneurs, are you still sitting on your hands scared to make the next move when it comes to important business decisions? What is stopping you? Are you indecisive or do you have no idea what you should do next? So many entrepreneurs have awesome ideas, however so many of these ideas never get past the just an idea stage. We are almost a quarter of the way through 2016 and business people are still trying to figure out their next level plan. Stop and go agendas at the end of the only costs businesses time, money and an ability to be more successful.

There Is Always Room For Improvement

An intelligent person knows that they aren’t perfect and that they always have room for improvement. They listen, rather than just talk. They engage with others more frequently, and they often engage with the philosophy that there is always more they can learn. If it's sport, they know that practice and discipline is essential.

The question I ask is; "Are you as good as you think you are?"

The Mind of An Entrepreneur

Marketing Eye speaks to hundreds of entrepreneurs seeking to grow their businesses every year. Some entrepreneurs are able to achieve growth successfully, and this is because they have a business plan, goals, and a marketing strategy in place. Even though the people we speak with have good intentions, they seem to rely more on luck than a strategic approach.

Then of course, there are the dreamers who do nothing more than talk about their aspirations and never act on their aspirations. Being an entrepreneur takes a lot of fixed determination, bravery, and thick skin. There are a lot of people that want to see you fail and think that you can do it. Prove them wrong! For an entrepreneur, that's all part of the parcel, and what motivates us to actually deliver upon what may have first started out as just a good idea.

Below are a few things that motivate entrepreneurs to start their own business.
With a growing business there are pains, and sometimes things happen that are beyond our control.

Our Sydney office experiences an exponential inflow of leads every single day. We are completely miffed as to why we receive so many Sydney based leads from our social media and website, and as such, we need to employ more people.

In the recruitment process, we have received a lot of applicants, though honestly, we should have gone back to the original applications we received 6 months ago, who may not have re-applied this time around. With the quality of applicants in June last year was much higher than the quality we are receiving today.
